Can you even see the turn signals after that coat of paint?

Went yesterday afternoon to a friends hunting property that he has some trails cut out on and did a little bit of testing on the WJ. This thing performs fantastically

Hard to tell in the picture but this hole was deep and slippery. I could not get any traction, and after about ten minutes of trying off and on, I overheated the poor thing

Here is a video and a few cellphone and one non cell phone pictures of my last outing. I ended up blowing my gears up front and destroying my carrier. I have an Eaton E-Locker on the way to fix that

Also can I get this moved to the 1:1 vehicle section

Well the e-locker ended up being back ordered too long for my liking, so I went with a Yukon Zip locker with an ARB air compressor. This is a great setup and seems to work well. I will update later with pictures of my new custom built rear double adjustable control arms too

Been a while since I have updated this thread. Since my last update I have started breaking axle shafts like toothpicks. The problem is the way they are designed, they snap as soon as they are in any kind of bind whatsoever. To get rid of this problem I have a set of RCV axle shafts up front. Also at the same time, my rear axle took a nose dive so I have a Dana 60 that is going back there with a Teraflex T-Lock and chromoly axle shafts. Now you may be wondering why I am running a Dana 60 rear with a Dana 30 front and here is why. I do not plan to keep the Dana 30 under the WJ for the lifetime I own it, in fact I hope to swap it for a Dana 60 as soon as I possibly can, but as of now, the only weak point was the axle shafts which the RCVs took care of. If I can run a Dana 30 on 35s without having to swap it out I will by all means do it. You just have to wheel smarter. I should have some pictures up when I can start turning some wrenches.

Just be careful of the ring/pinion snapping in a D30, particularly when in reverse. A buddy with a 4 banger YJ shredded one....and he's as easy on equipment as I am (very easy). I've been fortunate with 30. Only snapped one axle shaft, wallowed out one outer ear, and no issues since I installed alloys a couple years ago. But that Grand carries a lot more weight than my lil' TJ. I plan on a full width D44 up front eventually since I only plan on 37s and 60s would cost me too much ground clearance.

Good luck with it!
