Mix water and a small amount of dish soap together in a spray bottle. Spray the plastics and the sticky side of the graphics. This will make the graphics not stick until they are dry. Get them in the place that you want them. Squeeze out the bubbles and extra liquid with a credit card. Repeat process with a hair dryer heating the graphics. The hair dryer will make them stick right where you have them positioned.

That is a very reliable, very fun to ride bike, enjoy!

The mix should be like 90% water, you can use as much as you want.

Windex also works fine too. But just use something or it will be impossible to move the graphics around.

I've also heard of some people washing BRAND new plastic off with gasoline to remove the shiny film to make the graphics stick better.

If u just bought the bike I'd vo get the valves adjusted.. That's something you don't wanna wait until it won't start.. Doing that will wear ur valves faster and then instead of shims.. You'll be buying valves and a adjustment is cheaper... Also that way you can keep up with the hrs on the adjustment I adjust my valves on my 450r every 4 hrs keeps it running tip top.. But that's just my .02

When I did the graffix on my bike I used the soapy water trick... works very good but I think a credit card is a little on the flimsy side. I used a 3 piece set of bondo applicators (platic, flexible but not too flexy). I also used a soft towel over the bodo tool to keep from scratching the high gloss finish of the graffics... the first one I did got scratched, not bad but it bugged me since they were new.

Some updates Got a Different back tire on and my new plastics and graphics on. Still got a couple stickers left to do. Well on to the pics. Let me know what yall think.

Will get the frame powder costed after summer is gone. I'm thinking the same neon green color from Grave Diggers monster truck frame.

The graphics sure make a big difference, lookin good. One thing I would suggest to complete the look is some preprinted number plate backgrounds, they help tie in the graphics with like the front and rear fender graphics, you dont have to worry about getting your numbers straight and can also have your name put on them too

Here's a link to a place that made my custom graphics for my KX 250, this will give you an idea of what I am talking about.

http://www.scrmotorsports.com/?page=...page=numplates

Or there are other places like Fuzion Graphics that makes them too.

Just inherited #87 2007 YZ250F needing topend work in large quantities. Should be picking her up from the wayward home for abused ex-supermoto bikes (shop) and starting the rebuild process once she hits the garage.

Yours is looking good, I'm seeing more and more of those 1st and 2nd generation YZF's being resurrected for a second life as a trail bike and just a general do it all ride.

Might need to plan an RCC camp and trailride GTG with all the guys that have bikes and quads around anymore. Wonder if Moab/Greenriver could handle it??
