To put it in perspective, that was "only" a three percent drop in their stock value. Investors are pragmatic and will ride this out, as Nike has been a "bull" stock. Investors invest with their brains, not their principles. I'm sure Nike had a team of analysts working around the clock to determine the fallout of this union and whether it would do long term harm to the company. Nike is the 18th most valuable brand and the most valuable apparel brand in the world, with dominate market share all over the globe. Long-term, I doubt this will be an issue. If much smaller companies like Yeti, Keurig, Chick-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby can survive these internet ground swells, I don't think the brass at Nike is that worried.

Well yes that is how most investors think, but still if i had any Danske Bank / Danish bank shares, i would probably sell.

And you can pretty much bank on no heads will roll in this case, though it for should be a bloodbath.

I've haven't bought anything from Nike for decades. I've been ahead of the game... oh wait it's cause I can't afford that overpriced crap.

In the same boat, I needed shoes that were well made and reasonably priced, Nike has never met that criteria.

EDIT:
Trying to think back to when I owned a pair of Nikes. If memory serves, the last pair I owned was the pair I was issued in bootcamp. By the end of the eight weeks they were falling a part and went into the trash before I left Great Lakes. New Balance has been my running shoe of choice, started wearing them back when they were an orthopedic shoe maker (when you are 6'2" in 7th grade, "normal" shoes will not cut it. I am 6'5" now, and the same is true).

I can't attest to Nike's quality, but I have been wearing New Balance sneakers since I ran cross-country in high school. They have always been durable, comfortable and about 30% less than comparable Nikes.

New Balance fan myself, and can still get some that are US made. I have over the years ventured into other brands, they never hold up or are as comfortable as NB. I couldn't care less about Nike.

I haven't worn Nikes since I was a kid. Still like some of the NB line, but lately it's Brooks and Saucony that work for me based on fit.

X2, foot too wide for Nike anymore, NewBalance was good for awhile, but now Saucony for the fit!

The whole Nike thing cracks me up, they're supposed to pick a sports person based on their awesome sports PLAYING ability!

Saucony for me too. I like how Skechers fit but they don't hold up well at all.
