So my home-state is finally discovering that the country's best welfare system actually runs on money and not on liberal promises. One of the best states with income potential and the liberals set it up so all of the welfare cases move in and all of the businesses move out...

When the current batch of liberals took over they told Amazon that California was going to charge them back taxes on all of their internet sales. Amazon sent back a response saying that they were shopping for land to build their new headquarters, in Arizona. The liberals decided not to pursue the issue.

Here in Arizona they tried to pass a law that named Amazon.com specifically to collect taxes from online sales. They have a huge shipping center in Phoenix. They skirt the tax thing because they do not have a store front. All sales are online, therefore tax free even to people in AZ. The law failed, but AZ wanted to money, and was willing to NAME a specific company they wanted it from.

It's been going down hill way before the "govenator." They tax and create laws that hinder companies making any profit at all, so they have no choice to move and take their money and jobs with them.

At least Californians have the choice not to buy, here in Oregon and a few other states the government gets us on the front end with an income tax. They take about 11% out of my paycheck and now they are trying to start a sales tax to get us on the back end.

here in pa if they have a pa warehouse they can ship to pa residents they wack us state sales tax, this is any online store who has a warehouse in pa they can ship from ....but then again it's only .06 on a dollar like it's going to run me into the poor house .......bob

Far as I know the sales tax for buying online was a big hubbub with Amazon.. the reason for purposefully buying from other states of my hobby addiction and a few other items. The close to 30% taken from my paycheck for state and federal taxes doesn't include sales tax for normal day to day purchases.. altogether its close to 40%. Hey at least I cover myself and a welfare individual almost.
