I not sure why he would delete the bodiless help with panels thread. I did just tell him I quit the rule committee in that thread. That can't be why.

Its not about listening or not listening...its about following the guide lines formed be they Rules Committee. The public is suppose to contact Rules Committee members so it can be addressed according to the procedure.

If that doesn't work for the public anymore we can do away with the committee, and just let the public vote on everything or better yet let individual clubs vote on what rules the like or don't like that way everyone is happy not just the majority.

I am interested in what the public has to say, but I am also interested in following the procedures we have built over the years and public polling is not how we have been doing it.

I understand procedures are in place but I have one question.

How is the rules committee suppose to know what the public wants if the public can't speak publicly?

I asked a simple question about a body/bodiless rig. Yes it snowballed into what we have now but it brought the public's voice forward on it.

If we have to contact our area rep then where's the feeling that we the people are still heard and involved? Not saying the public's word is law and we do trust the rules commitee to make the right decision but deleting threads and polls and telling us things need to be done through channels doesn't feel right.

Your basically telling us ya we listen but only if you bring it to your rep and we do it behind closed doors.

And sorry but if the rules committee can't talk openly (the way your post sounds) with us public people what trust do we have publicly to put in our rules committee?

I was trying to post this when the thread got deleted so I saved it. Not trying to attack anyone but I think its valid to post.

The fact is now it is a closed door discussion and vote...

We know where the general public stood. It will be interesting to see if there are any correlations between the general public and the rules committee vote.

I for one feel like I have been chomping on a turd and it has left a really bad taste in my mouth!
