Got almost all the dealership cars (but the crappy brands), and whatever comes up every two weeks in the online dealership, and good used cars. When you're signed in everyday and get that 200% bonus and play the Seasonals at lower Performance Points on certain races you win big. So, might as well buy cars and surf RCC in the meantime.

Wow over 800 cars. I have about 380 and also thought that was quite a bit. Finished the Subaru drift challenge using a fully modded brand new imprezza. Really easy. For beginner drifters a good starter car would be a modded Silvia s13. Any fr car with good horsepower, comfort hards and traction control, skid recovery off can drift. But don't forget to turn the stabiliser off. It completely changes the car. It slides out easier and gets more angle. But the most important thing is getting in the right gear for your car. And compensating for how tight and long the bend is. I also got the racing car drift challenge done and got gold first go. Just used my genkei Silvia or whatever it is called. But I am level 35 A spec and level 36 B spec and stay around $14 mill. But on gt3 I have over 1000 cars and millions upon millions. With the chamber though I always have 2.5 in the front and 1.5 in the back.

just saw this on VIRTUALIR.com

I was listening to this week's Midweek Motorsport (Series 8 Episode 19) on Radio Le Mans and they briefly talked about GT6. They were at the Silverstone event and the Nurburgring 24h, so what they said could be accurate. Nick Daman had this to say about the new tire physics:
"(Polyphony) are really moving ever more into the hardcore sim environment... They are actually now modeling things like sidewall flex and actually looking at the way different tires would grip the road; be they old fashion cross plys; be they modern radials; be they slicks... If you've got a car that's running on old fashion high-sidewall tires, even if it's got the same amount of grip, it's not going to handle the same way. And they've modeled all of that... They've remodeled the tracks. They've taken 10 billion [laughs] photographs, so when it comes out it will be photo realistic -- as much as it can being on the (Playstation 3), and I'm sure on the 4 they will be almost photo realistic...You can get new wheels for (a car). You get the new wheels, it's not to make it look different, it will make it handle different with the new wheels... (adding larger diameter wheels) will change the way it handles"

gt6 sounding better by the day.
I do beleive I saw something a while ago about polyphony taking pics and data of Mount Panorama (Bathurst)...if this is on gt6, I'll be a "virtual" resident of Bathurst from here until eternity.....

Nice! Thanks for sharing.

I planned to mention setting up a room today...

I think I just mentioned it.

I'm in the EST time zone and can start after 4 pm M-F, or any time on the weekend.

Oh yeah! Pikes Peak! I forgot!

I tend to not touch anything on cars. Turn off all assists, and lately even ABS sometimes. No ABS changes everything.

I will. Maybe tonight, but everyone should be doing the new Seasonals out today. European hot hatchbacks!

http://www.gtplanet.net/european-hot...vent-now-live/

Maybe I'll finish these and open a room.

I've been doing a lot of this lately. It's pretty rewarding when you win a race and get $1,239,456.72 for it. So far my favorite track car is the 97 Civic, Eeepee.

I also built my first Race Modified car the other day, I went with the Vette C6 ZR1 and then added all of the hop-ups. Shit's nasty. I love it.

I JUST did Racing Modifications to two cars, a '97 Civic and an '09 C6 Vette. Strange coincidence or are you reading about the races on GTPlanet?

Clean Run Challenge#9-09 Corvette ZR1 RM at Spa (No SRF) - GTPlanet Forums

Clean Run Challenge#11 Civic Type R(EK)RM at Clubman Reverse (No SRF) - GTPlanet Forums

GT5 Seasonal Events - GTPlanet Forums

I never RM'd a car on this game before.

Stock for stock, the 2002 Civic Si wipes the floor with the '97.

No coincidence, GT planet is blocked here at work. I've tried to RM every car unsuccessfully. I didn't even know what was all included until I pulled the trigger on the vette. Mind = blown. A little e-research and race modifications can only be done to about 17 cars. I also learned about standard vs. premium. The pixelated standard cars now make more sense.

I'll try out the 2002 Civic one day.

Had it read, "No, coincidence, GT planet is blocked here at work" it would make sense because then you wouldn't have known about the GTP races, and therefore, coincidental. But it doesn't read that way!

I'mma go throw down some laps in the two Civics.

Nürburgring GP/D free practice in the '01 EP Civic on sport hard tires 1:49.314

Nürburgring GP/D free practice in the '97 EK Civic on sport hard tires 1:52.924

Both after five laps then a slower time on the sixth.

Oh so we're posting times now. k!

I've just lately been getting used to the Nurburgring Norshlifhehje, not sure which variation the GP/D is. Will look this evening and give it a shot. I assume that you're running stock Civics.

Sure why not, eh. Give you guys some times to see where we stack up?

Stock Civics. Both new, so down a little on power. Had to buy tires for the EK.

The GP/D of the Nürburgring is the shortest, and uses no part of the Nordschleife actually. Found almost all the way to the right under the World Circuits in Free Practice (right side on GT Mode menu screen debacle).
