pretty ballsy..racoons can be pretty vicious if cornered..we have alot of them here, the other night a momma and 4 babies were trekkin through my yard so i brought out my losi mini 8 and chsed them around the yard a bit, and let them chase the car..it was kinda like a game of tag, kinda funny and momma let the babbies run over to check out this funny little creature. they are here and not going away, my cat knows to stay away from them i just make sure the garbage is inaccesible..and never feed them

Agreed. Raccoons are tough as hell, so I'm sure that dog owner was running on pure instinct.

Had a family of 4 raiding bike cabled locked trash cans. They could get in to any security system I installed. When confronted, they would dare me to fawk with 'em. Nasty bugger's, and I would not expose any pet I have to to keep them out. I use to trap them the Ol' School way, and they would chew their leg off to escape capture. Where I live, rabies is a big concern. Don't mess with Rohan! Gun thread inserted here .

they are pretty fearless around here..not that i would say aggressive, just used to people, you dont want to corner them though as they have nasty claws and sharp little teeth and will shred..i think some people do give handouts which is very bad.
very smart too..one day i came home and found that i had been visited, went right on top of my dryer and into the cupboard with the cat food, tore open the bag and ate some..they left their little paw prints on the dryer..lol, funny thing too is they opened up a bag of chocolate on my puter desk which of course had a bunch of rc bits on it..they didnt disturb a thing on the desk other than the chocalate..lol and left no mess otherwise
last year there would be 2 juveniles that would scratch at the window..im sure they were the culprits..maybee one was the momma from last night.
i used to get real pissed off when they got into the garbage and the slingshot or bb gun came out but i realized that they are just trying to live like the rest of us animals..lol, and my fault for not having the garbage secured..i kinda feel bad about my previouse actions now(getting soft in my old age)
there is a skunk that scratches on the door occasionally..i dont play with him though
