Here's it's 50km/h (30mph) unless otherwise posted in urban areas, rural areas is 80 km/h (50mph).

Non-posted statutory speed limits are determined by ordinances of the city, county or state that maintains the facility. If it is within a city limit, then you would have to look up their ordinances and find the ruling.

I do speed studies for municipalities fairly regularly, the speed limit is supposed to be determined by the 85th percentile speed of the vehicles traveling it. This obviously has situations that override that, such as school zones. You'd be surprised how often those speeds actually do match the speed limit, even when you think that EVERYONE drives faster than that.

It would be nice if Google would incorporate speed limits on the MAPS.

You have the choice to avoid highways, toll roads and ferries

All the hopheads would probably be doing a good 5-10mph under the speed limit...

'City streets' is pretty broad. The main street through Richmond is 45mph but a lot of the side streets are 30-35mph. Streets that go by/through neighborhoods, schools or businesses are 25 everywhere.

All Danish Towns is 50km/h in general unless posted otherwise.

But truth be told all speed limits here is +10 km/h ( 95 % of ppl do that ) and then there is the ppl for whom +10 km/h is not enuff, then the sky is the limit.

speed limit......... Psh!

This town's only got two squad cars, and you can just about bet one of 'em is moored in the funeral home parking lot, using their radar gun to watch for drunks on Old 51.
The other one's probably "monitoring drug activity" over on Wilson St.

If the traffic in front of my house is any indication, there's no fear of enforcement in these parts. Portable speed bumps (aka deer) only command occasional respect.
