No pop-ups or over sized ads for me. If you're using Chrome, you can set the pop up blocker in the "tools" section. I also run Google's ad blocker from the chrome store as an extension on the work station. It's free. Oddly enough, their own ad blocker blocks their ads on here.

YUP - definitely on your side. I've never had issues with pop-ups, anywhere, other than sketchy sites. Clear your cookies and cache files while your at it.

I'd suggest RegCure Pro for a good scrubbing to try and catch anything sketchy.

I feel I am a pretty clean member. I try to purchase from a very long list of vendors here on RCcrawler, and support the hobby as well as this site in every way possible.

Minus not being a star holder. Not apposed to the idea, but I just don't understand it.
