| Reaching out to RCC
I am reaching out to the community of RCC, because I have seen what a generous and caring community y'all are. As the RCC regulars may recall, both my father, and my grandfather have passed away, and this has put our family in a great financial strain. About 6 months ago, I broke my Jeep. I haven't fixed it yet because I have been trying to help my mother out financially. Well, last week, the engine in her Liberty threw a rod. This was the only working car that we had, and I recently lost my job due to the company closing it's doors unannounced. As of now, we are having to borrow a car from my grandmother so that my mom can get to her job. She is a cafeteria worker for a local Highschool, and only makes about $900 a month before tax deductions. By the time the bills are paid, there is hardly anything left to show for. She needs a new vehicle, but we aren't in a financial position to afford one for her. We are needing all the help we can get. I am normally the last person to ask for donations, but helping my mother is more important to me then keeping quite and trying to figure it out on my own. I would love to be able to surprise her with another car, but financially, I am unable to, and coming from a single parent household (my father passed away in 2003), it is incredibly stressful knowing that I can't afford to help my mother. As of now, I am unable to seek a job because of the lack of her own vehicle. My grandmother was taking me to and from work, because that was the only way I was able to get there with the hours my mom had. Because my mom is using her car, I am now unable to look for employment, so I have been spending the last week at home maintaining the house and paying bills with whats left from the money I had while working, and from what I manage to get from selling small items on Craigslist. I've created a GoFundMe page for this, and it's embarrassing to have to ask for help, but it's for my family. The link to the page is New Car For Mom by Ryan McMullen - GoFundMe If you can't or don't donate, its fine, I fully understand, and I thank everyone in advanced for taking the time to read this and help. |

Thanks for the kind words. It's just tough knowing that you don't have the means to provide for your family.
