Sorry, but the new McLaren Speedtail is freaking hideous. McLaren really hasn't made a nice car since the F1. With that being said, my submission below may also be controversial.

2024 they become legal. this is my dream car, and you CAN get one here. Either find a motorrex car (somthing like 14 here) or get a limited/collectors car. IE 500 cars or less made of a limited run. (r-tune, NISMO factory special, limited color, etc..)

some people dream of winning the lotto, others dream of owning a lambo, me.. i want a last gen skyline. 99-2002 (some 2003"s) GTR-34.
Nissan retired SKYLINE and the name it's no longer used. the picture is of a legal R34 here in the states. Ive talked to the owner a few times (he goes to woodward every year) and let me tell you, its not a car to just own or drive but a dedicated life experience.
when i took this picture he was driving, and then he layed into it....
as if fitted with gods feet, he was gone.

i could fill pages and pages with skyline information, but its not a popular car anymore.

I like the R34s - a lot, but I don't understand the obsession, similar to yours, that people have with them. It's a Nissan! It's not in the same league as a Ferrari or Lambo.

That's actually part of the appeal. It's a supercar that you can drive and enjoy, and actually still get parts for long after it's discontinued. And has Nissan reliability to boot.

Ferrari is famous for discontinuing a model, and once the parts supply they had on hand is gone, good luck finding what you need. And as always car taste is very subjective, but I think all modern Lambos look almost the same, and I don't care for any of them. They all look like an 8yo folded up a piece of paper into an angular boxy shape.

The GTR cars are indeed nice cars, for sure on my list to own.
But i don't think they are anywhere up there with the truly good looking cars.


But for a daily driver / maybe track car it will be just fine i am sure, i love what it is,,, a pretty normal car, just packing some awesome performance.

those of us that grew up with old school gran tourismo games understand the skyline and R34 obsession. if you played those games you were almost forced to fall in love with them. i dont know how they did that , but they did, and it worked.

The skyline is like a rancid porkchop, but they've laddled so much sauce on it, you'd never know. (j.c. TOP GEAR)

nothing against the exotics, they are some of the best cars out their, but i wouldnt dismiss a real skyline against any other car. the RB2.6 MOTOR is up there on the list of greatest engines ever made. The supra follows this suit as well, and if you have never had a chance to experience the mighty supra, then start looking and asking.

these two cars arent meant to fit in the exotics or top-tier class of automobiles. more about the edge of performance and stealth. (go ahead, mess with that car driving along, and see how fast you can lose)
I remember one R34 owner telling me the best line ive ever heard about the car- (story is about 10 years old in cincy-Ohio)
"driving along, its obvious most on the road think its some impalla type, but caught at a stoplight next to a school bus, and the next thing i hear is some terible creaking and cracking, as the frantic search begins its obvious the school bus is almost at maximum lean as kids smash into the windows to stare at the car."

this isnt a car for most, and its passion like none other. if you have never rode in one, i understand and itll never make sense.

i worked at a porsche dealer for a few years, then pontiac, then a collision repair shop, dealing with all kinds of cars ill never afford, and some that ill never forget too. (Tucker & shogun come to my mind first) Even the random exotics here and their, but none of them caught my full attetion like a r34. (but the F40[last car by enzo] is quite close, so beautiful in person!!!)

That is a great looking car. Somehow Aston keeps the DB looking fresh with subtle changes.

even if you werent able to see the badge, that front clip is an excellent reminder of whats in store. They have kept certain traits throughout the body and its always kept its beauty in every generation. I would reckon its even better in person.

BUT somehow i still wish they dropped the front just a little bit more onto that gaping "mouth"
Just a few inches to give it a smile face Vs the OMG face it have now.


PS. I don't know what the hell are wrong with me, but i find it easy to hate on just about any new car with their LED headlights.
