I really don't think fr8cture was either being or meant to be a smart ass - just asking a valid question Anyway, you can also use a metal straight edge - I have one that's ~18 inches long and has mm on one side and inches on the other - often it's easier to use than a tape measure. Also, sometimes I use a thin dowel or a bamboo skewer. Fix the axles and skidplate in a jig so they don't move but they're exactly where you want them then use the bamboo skewers or dowel to measure the distances you need for the links (mark the link length using the skewer or dowel using a felt-tip, fine point marker then take that measurement and blah, blah, blah). |

Maybe I dont have the vehicle in front of me. And was trying to figure out how much stuff i would need to order. And I appreciate the how to to measure them. If that was what I wanted tho I would have asked for how to measure them. Someone has done this and taken notes when they were doing it. What the hell is a forum for if you cant learn from the trial and error of others. If I wanted to make all my own mistakes do you think i would be here asking? If you dont know the answer to a straight forward question don't answer. and Im pretty sure he was being a smart ass. |

Using all axial parts..... Front was stock scx ends with 91mm links to make 101mm eye-to-eye. Rear was stock scx ends with 98mm links to make 108mm eye-to-eye. Note that the 98mm link is the stock front lower link on the rubicon kit Last edited by nharkey85; 11-24-2014 at 04:42 PM. |

| Re: link lengths I'm just saying, responses might have been a little less smart a$$ if you would have posted in the scx10 area. Plus you would get the info you really need quicker too. Chit chat is like the remedial class, but everyone is actually smart and just act like dicks/tards.
