I had a thought on the home made hot air system. MAKE sure there is a provision for fresh air in. In a sealed system you might run into co2 build up. Probably designed into it, but I had a uncle die from a bad heater so it is always on my mind.

Thanks for everything guys and to the grammar ninja, there's a reason why I'm a welder not a language teacher.

For the hot air duct system if I choose that. I was going to pressure check the fire box to the air duct before I cut the door opening.

I can't remember if I mentioned the reason why I want to use wood fire. It's because I can get the wood for free by the truck load.

I just got off the phone with my insurance company, they said as long as the burner itself is not in the building I'm good to go.

I know plenty of people that use a wood or pellet stove to heat a garage. Its pretty cheap and effective, especially if you can score wood for cheap or free.

If its safe enough to use in a house, i dont get why they would be against one in a garage. I know plenty of people that have them in their homes too.

No pump needed, the steam pressure does the work.

I've decided on the forced air system. I talked to a HVAC installer today and he told me for my application the forced air system would be best. So now it's time to find parts.
