Next thing on the purchase list is a new front passenger door. The phone didn't make it, but at least my truck kinda did...
Ouch for sure.

If you lost that phone in the mountains, It has likely made it to the Pacific by now...

Nonetheless, glad you are okay, looks like a nasty impact on that door.

The cantilever kit for this build:B-MOW's 1987 Toyota XtraCab VP STR8 Axle arrived.

Also found a nice light kit on Amazon. Comes with metal brackets and a light controller.

Nice haul B-MOW71!!!

I might be in trouble with the Wifey...

I made a random bid on eBay and truly figured I would have been out bid, but I was not and won. The seller listed it as free shipping and I also figured "No Way!!!" that was going to happen. Low and behold, it was shipped via UPS and they did not ask for another dime to help cover the shipping.

I hope I get home before it shows up and I can try to hide the Giant Box...

The above purchase was only half of the fun and part of what I have to figure out how to explain when I get home

40 minutes after I was notified that I won the merchandise, I had someone respond to my Craigslist Wanted ad. Well, this was one that he had not used for a long time, decided to sell it. While tearing it down, he noticed a few minor broken parts and also had just purchased a new body for it. He was going to fix it and then put it up for sale. Honestly, for the price he was going to ask, he would have sold it pretty quick.

I checked the price on all the parts and it was not bad. I threw him an offer for me to take the truck as is and I did not want the new body, he could just return it. He accepted my offer and I had a friend go grab it for me...

Once I get home, I will comb through the two rigs and build one up to sell and keep the other to bash around.

Thanks bama, it should be a blast. Tom was telling me about that box, pretty funny stuff.

I now have one of Fricker's chassis' that he sold to Tom. We'll see how long it rests at my place

That movie is so ****in' sick. I tried finding it years ago online... I almost bought a vhs copy on ebay. Rodney Mullen did all the "stunts" for that movie. Absolute legend.

I'll let you know once I get one of the ready to go, but shipping would likely be outrageous from AK, well, to just about anywhere...

Wanted to check out an LCG/Cheater rig, but didn't want to drop all the cash, nor did I want to just get a cheap Chy-Na knockoff.
So checking out the options on Evilzon, there were the knockoffs of the Gspeed rig, and a few others, the injora and power hobby options, then I came across one that was not like any of the others I've seen. Though it turns out it may be a knockoff of a Japan version LCG rig I saw one youtuber post about. At any rate, this chassis kit didn't look like any of the other rigs, and was clearly designed to be a lcg setup as the placement of the skid and other gear is more akin to this style of rig.

It was listed on Evilzon for 68 and some change. Then I decided to look over on fleabay and found the same kit, different seller, for a little under 54.00. So I ordered it up and waited the 15 days for it to show up.
So far it looks like its going to be a nice LCG kit.
Here it is with a smattering of other Pics of your latest purchase comments of other things I've bought for this rig coming together.

Dipping my toes into the comp crawler scene, 5th dimensions sucker punch with modded 60’s and a hamberger trans. Seemed like too good of a deal to pass on, seeing as I have plenty of electronics to get it going. Can’t wait to see what this thing can do

I haven't seen any of those. I'll have to check them out! I didn't watch too many movies growing up, which is odd since my dad use to own a video store.

*edit* after googling "Mouse", I haven't see that one. We watched Shorty's Fulfill the dream and Birdhouse "The End" a lot. I guess they were the only two my friends and I had besides a random 411 video haha

Those are both rad. Shorty's started in Santa Barbara, Ca, where I'm from. Shorty's was super popular around here, of course, but I mainly rode Girl decks.
