Spending $11.95 for 2 Mitsubishi oil filters at the dealership on Friday only to find out on Tuesday (checking bank statements on line) that when they ran my card, the service manager punched in $1195.00

Nothing like having the barge in and being woke up to, "WTF did you spend $1195 on at the dealership"????

It isn't a lack of self-preservation genes, it is absolute selfishness. And it's not just the "millennials". Everyday, I see people of all ages just be completely oblivious to their surroundings and the people around them. It is like they are the only person on Earth. People change lanes without even looking. Kids at the mall with their faces in their phones that pretty much walk into you and then give you a dirty look for being in the way. People in the grocery store that park their cart in the middle of the aisle while they stop and look at something and no one can get by them. Ect, ect ect...

I feel that online culture has cultivated this "me first" attitude and pretty much killed common courtesy.

Our car insurance is rated for low miles. Less than 7500 a year. They send out a letter and you write the mileage down. Wifes writes 36400. Last year it was 30,183. So we are well under the 7500. I get a bill from them telling me we are over, and they not only changed the rates, but were going to try and back bill me for the last year. I grab the letter and head to the office. They look it up locally and they find her current mileage as 364,000. So they think we put 330,000 miles in a year.

I asked her if she has anyone who ever put that many miles. I wish people would pay just one ounce of attention, or when they see something way outta line just double check.

Makes me glad I am a department of one again. When I was a department head, nothing made me more furious than the "Well, that's what the order said..." response when the order was obviously wrong. Example: A customer routinely gets 2 cases of product. An order turns up saying they want 20 cases. Sadly, most people would ship the 20 cases than bother to ask if it is actually correct.
