As for the phone thing, I still have my 5.5 year old smart phone, and it still does everything I need it to do. I too would rather spend that money on hobbies rather than keeping up with the latest mobile gadget craze.

It also plays with servo loads, no one wants a site to feel like dial up. Cant speak for the hosting server of the site but Im willing to bet social media servers could do laps on the one normal recreational sites are hosted on.

Image resizers works best for in my vBulletin experience, good ones can size depending on resolution/monitor detection.

It only affects page loads if the images are locally hosted (and ginormous), and even then it's very minimal for anyone with even bottom of the barrel broadband internet. If it's really having a large impact on your site, you have a shit hosting provider, or you're just cheap.

It's not about being lazy, it's about the desire to actually sell your products. Having a nicely posed photo of the junk you're selling gets the most interested eyes actually engaging with you, as evidenced by this thread.

eh... ive sold things in the past and have nothing but lowballers and picky people. not posting picks actually kept the lowballers away. I can delete peoples text from my phone faster than I can clear 2 or 3 pages of pm's or emails. I don't post pics of my stuff but it still gets sold. usually within the week. unless its an onroad.

The only thing that bugs me is when I can post pics in every other section just fine but when it comes to the classifieds they are to big for some reason, and we're not talking about huge pics that take up the entire page either.
