You obviously didn't even read my last post. Not every manufacturer approaches everything the exact same way that Nissan does. I'm not trying to convince anyone that CVTs are for everybody, I'm just saying that there are brands that do a much better job of it than most.

Nissan sucks anyway so maybe that's the problem.

EV West has made a working shifting electric conversion to a Ferrari 308, Jalopnik article

Its an interesting setup if you read the article, It wont stall so you can start in fifth gear if you wanted. The gear used determines how much acceleration you get but there's no need to use the gears sequentially or shift at all.

Its a project car so do expect this to mean gears are coming to production EVs anytime soon.
