I put my kids' Powerwheel on 6s today...

So I've been encouraging my kids to start downsizing their outdoor toy collections, and we'd thinned out all but the 7 year old powerwheel. That thing just would not die. I told them to just drive it like they stole it and we'd throw its remains away (it was really rough and missing pieces, bent axles, tires were just sidewall discs with the tread banging around between them, not worth passing on to another kid) so they were ramming into curbs, taking it off plastic skateboard ramps, and riding wheelies down the street (with brother standing on the back) but it just wasn't fast enough to hurt itself.

Of course, being the rc nerd that I am, I had a solution. I soldered a deans plug on and made a series connector and let them have at it with 6s power! Speed more than doubled, would wheelie on demand on grass, or roast the plastic tires on pavement. Both the boys got a kick out of drifting it and doing donuts, so they did that until one transmission blew. That just made it do donuts even better, so they continued to run it full throttle until the 2nd motor burnt up. That took just over 3000mah of 6s to finish it off.

I let the boys have free range of the tool box to demolish the remains so they used the biggest sledge hammer and prybars they could find and eventually presented me with a bare tub. A few minutes with the sawzall later and it all fit in the trash can. Now they won't be mad that dad threw their toy away, we all got a good laugh, and they've got a good memory. Good times!
