Default Need some help with transmitter/reciever

I bought an Airtronics MT-4s a few years ago, and bought a couple WP receivers, the RX-37w or RX-371w. Now I am needing another receiver, and would prefer WP, as its going in an airboat, but I can't seem to find any of the RX-37w/RX-371w's. I can readily find an RX-391w, but I don't think it is compatible.

Am I better of ditching Sanwa at this point or what?

There are the WP 471 and 481 waterproof receivers but they are not cheap. You could get a whole Flysky GT5 or Radiolink RC6GS setup for less than buying a WP 481 from Amain.

All it takes is a bottle conformal coating and some dielectric grease to waterproof any receiver...

Remove the RX from the case, tape the pins, dip it, let it dry, then repeat twice for good coverage. Put the whole mess back in the case, then schmeer some dielectric grease on the face of the RX connectors and you are good do go. You can also use Corrosion-X, but you should retreat the part every couple of months or so, conformal coating doesn't need to be reapplied.

Another route to go is to install a waterproof RX case. My favorite are Traxxas cases.
