That's pretty sweet, but it really needs a straight axle up front.

And a flathead under the hood.

Prepare for the newbyish:

Micro servos:

Since I have completely eliminated the stock means of mounting the [standard] steering servo, I have become VERY limited on space in which to mount one. Let me restate that, I have lots of room to mount a servo, but I got this darn belt that has to run right through the middle of it.

But I could make a micro servo work fairly easily. Problem is, although certain high torque micros can produce the power I need...............can they take it in return? Obviously, by design, the front tires are standing out on their own without the protection of a bumper or body, and because of this, they are going to slap a wall/curb or two. Can the tiny gears in a micro servo handle "the return" of a tire hitting a curb with some force? Do they make servo savers for micro servers? Are they worth it?

Can a micro servo work, or do I need to get REALLY creative and mount a standard servo?

Thanks!!!

You should mount the servo way up front and make a removable slide on cover that's a model of a motor, and then hinge the hood.

what did you say and no!

Robb, I think the hs 81 will work fine and they do make a servo saver for it.
but i don't know how well it would work, i think you should try and shoe horn a chicken butt or other type servo in their.

Use a JR micro servo (or mini servo). They use standard JR/Airtronics splines
