The title on that webpage is lame. It's Autocrossing, not showing off.

Wrong size lug nuts.

I dont think they are stupid, i just think it ricocheyed (< sp) wrong. It seemed like normal target practice to me. But i havent ever been shooting before so maybe they actually were doing something stupid.

In the first vid, it was explained under the title on the page. The driver was sold the wrong lug nuts, ones which would torque up, but once lateral (vehicle) weight was put against them, they skipped off the threads. This is the story, and I wasn't there so I can't call BS, but lugs that would torque up to 100'lbs but then skip threads under lateral movement seems far fetched to me. But stranger things have happened I guess.

The second vid was a "one in a million" shot. NO ONE COULD EVER predict a round would do what that one apparently did.!!!! And no one that uses the term "sai" should EVER call anyone else in this world stupid!!!!!

That first vid is BS! I used to work for a tire & wheel shop and the only way that would happen is if the lugs were just barely started. You may loose one but not all four at once. That was just staged for the video or that guy Pissed someone off bigtime!

You said it right...the rear came off and 1 wheel fell off! There is no possible way that all 4 came off at once unless it was staged!

i do this autocrossing stuff almost every month and i think that he had a beef with someone there and got owned!!!! more believable is he drove to the course(as i do) then changed tires and forgot to grab the breaker bar and stand on it, thats why i have a buddy double check me on my work,, excitement of the day will make you forget damn near everything of importance,,,,, i still laugh when i replay it mostly just the sound of the car hittin the ground is giggle worthy,, its just a rice burner anyway no big loss

There are just certain cars that automatically get excluded from the overloaded category of "rice burner" simply for being very cool or revolutionary. RX-7s are one of them, and meet both qualifications. No matter the generation, 7s were always bada$$.

So, if somebody loosened those for him, what would happen to that person when caught?
