I used to be a big Limp Bizkit fan, but this was before they hit it big. Back when nobody had ever heard of them. They were way more punk-rock in those days.

You can cuss and rant about them "selling out" or getting too "commercial" but can you really blame them? Hell, I'd do the same damn thing. Fred and the rest of those guys are set for life now.

Pullin' out knots, and pullin' in residuals...

I'm really tired of Disturbed after watching 10 million MTB videos.

Honestly, Disturbed is a much better band. It took me a while to get used to their music, but they have something to say, they are passionate about it, and the sound is tight - they aren't all over the place. As far as bizklimpkit?...enough said.

Lately I've been leaning towards Motorhead, although I kinda prefer LB in this pairing.

Fixed.

Every one of Rage's albums was good and your description fit RATM much better than Disturbed.

Disturbed is kind of like Nickleback...you hear the same chit in every song.

Not so much. Actually, while a lot of disturbed's music sounds similar, some of it has a political agenda, some of it is personal, but I'd say a good 40% of it (much higher than most bands) is intensely driven.

Honestly, you guys are talking about new bands here except for digging up old @$%t. You want to know what I've never turned down, and never turned off? (watch how many people go "wtf, who is that" or "how old are you?")

limp bizkit was on the fore front of the rap rock/ numetal stuff. the numetal side was made popular by the deftones and staind. the rap rock stuff was mainly limp. even if you don't like there music they were the first rap like lyrics and heavy guitars. if you actually listen to there stuff its pretty good, check out the other songs not the hits, the hits don't have enough depth to them.

also check out the album 3dollarbill yall. its crazy good, heavy, produced by ross robinson and recorded at the indigo ranch

Ever heard of RunDMC? Probably way before your time. A little song called "Walk this way". I think that was when the Rap/Rock thing started.

i don't know....the first rage album was interesting. then the rest of them all sounded like the first one to me. they fell into a real predictible formula-

-pentatonic scale riff
-noisy guitar 'solo'
-lyrics complaining about the injustices of the world all while being signed to $ony records

just my 2 cents.

True, true!

I like the guitar on Rage albums...the first is still my favorite.

I know I listen to music that "sucks", but you can actually stomach those two?
