What if I plan on going out to crawl and then end the day breaking something EVERY time?

Sunday's motto was "that was a very large puddle on the other side of those weeds I couldn't see" which resulted in electronics being dismantled and aired out.

Today was going good until I thought more throttle was the solution tearing off a rod end.

I'd love to be the "sally" but my friggin throttle finger twitches to dang much. I'm always attracted to mud/water too.

I'm going with "hardcore" but not by choice.

Go all out and if something breaks it wasnt good enough. Go back and make it to where it doesnt break and then go on to the next weak link.

I guess I've been lucky. I'm so heavy on the throttle it's rediculous, if I can't crawl up something I'm gonna try to throttle up it, if something is hanging up and the truck won't go foward anymore I'll try and try to throttle over it.

I've also been known to try to jump things that shouldn't be jumped in a front heavy crawler. I flip the WK regularly and it hardly ever lands on it's wheels. I'll twist the axle and bind the wheels to a point where I'm sure I'm gonna break something and nothing ever breaks.

Like I said I guess I've been lucky(or I've built an amazing crawler )..........KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!

Things will break, this is the first law of crawling.
Over built and preparedness make for a worry free day.
Expect the worst and hope for the best!
Last of course, LEARN HOW TO DRIVE!!!!

I tend to baby my rigs during normal driving, unless it is a super. On comp day all worries are thrown out the window for finishing the course. I tend to break something every time I am out anyway though, especially my clod.

I'm a sally girl when it comes to driving my rigs, I never push them, I am always afraid that I could possiably lose a body pin, or scratch my lexan body. I never take chances and none of my rigs have any power so there is no way I can ever break anything.

Oh yea I forgot that I can't hardly figure out how to charge my nicd batteries, none of my stuff is custom and I wince at the thought of water.

And DUH!!!:-(

I think i'm a hardcore sally girl. i don't like to break stuff, but i love modifying stuff, love pushing my rc's to their "limits", and if i do break something, it's no big deal. if i can possibly fix it on the spot i'll certainly do it. i have a awesome "field equipment box" with all the tools i need to totally disassemble a rig, solder connections, and soon i'll have a cordless dremel as well to take to get-togethers.
