| colorado springs bashing/racing sessions?
Thought I'd create this thread to keep the non-crawler-related posts out of the colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs? thread. While it's usually quite easy to bash at crawling spots, it's probably less likely to find good crawling at tracks, etc. So for all those heading to Aztec, the "church track", Goose Gossage, etc., this is the thread for you... |

To start things off, blazefighter asked: "Anyone game to go out to the church track Thursday or Friday?" I'd be game for Friday sometime after 2:30pm or 3:30pm (don't always know if I'll be working 8 or 9 hours on Fridays). If (after) 2:30 works better for others I can probably make it work. Hopefully by then I'll have more than just the Slash to run. |

Hey thats alright, all I have is the Sc10 to run. I will probably make it out there by 3:00. My Truggy is at American Pastimes in Pueblo on consignment. (If anyone is interested....) Last edited by Blazefighter; 08-17-2009 at 03:49 PM. |

Egnix and I usually jump back and forth between crawling and bashing. Whatever mood strikes. Thursdays and Fridays are my days off so I'm usually free to get together. Just let me know. |

Usually Thursdays are good days for me, but not tomorrow (or next Thursday for that matter). Plan to go to the church track around 3pm on Friday. |

It is at the Church for all Nations near the NE corner of Powers & Dublin. If you're done at 3:45 you could still meet up with us. I hope to be there a while if I can keep from breaking... |

It's pretty much open though I think they discourage running nitros during services.

Yea I dont think I would do that anyways, thats just rude. I was running my savage in a field by that putput golf corse near the park but it seemed like everyone was there trying to drift there POS ricer cars and all that crap. One man did make a good point about the city, he said that they can spend all the money for ANOTHER skatepark, but the RC guys cant drive or fly there stuff anywhere. Hes a RC heli guy. Well ill stop by tomorrow after I get out of class, I hope it doesnt take to long to get there, class is downtown. | |

hey, new to the site. I have been going to the 'church track' over the past few weeks, although i have only met up with one other guy out there. So if everyone says they are going to be there tomo, im gonna have to try to make it. As far as the skate parks go, I went to the 'big one' and got ran out of there real quick (after landing a double back flip with the savage!), but there is a small skate park in manitou springs that I go to. It has some great jumps to practice on, and the kids dont mind sitting there and watching. they think its cool! ha. Hit me up if anyone wants to check it out sometime. |

I will try to bring my camera tomorrow and see about starting a racing/bashing atlas on some of the spots around town and their locations. Probably will put it up both here and on RCShortcourse. See you guys out there whoever shows up. Should be a sweet bashing session if we get a good turnout. We just need to make sure that we are respectful to the church, especially when there is a bunch of us out there. Dont want what happened at Aztec to happen here. |
