Default "New-ish"...any crawling around Longmont?

Hi! I've been poking around here I picked up my MRC a couple of months ago and wanted to say..."Hi!" I've been in R/C for 20+ years, but I fell in love with crawling right away after I got my Losi for Christmas. I'd like to make it to a scale comp/GTG (and plan on doing so), but I was wondering if anyone here's doing any crawling around Boulder County? I rarely see anyone with any crawlers in the Longmont Hobbytown, but I figure there's gotta be more around here.

Oh, here's a couple of pics of my MRC scaler in progress. I've never built anything like this so be nice

Hope to meet y'all soon!
-Greg

Welcome to the madness! I live up in Johnstown, and no there's not much crawler related stuff in either Longmont or Fort Collins Hobbytown stores.

There is a new scale series starting the 28th, come and join the fun! Summer Scale Series

There is a popular spot for crawling in the drainage area in front of the strip mall where Lowe's is. Have fun!

Thanks! I'll try and make it on the 28th, to watch if nothing else...I don't know if my little 1/12 can keep up with the bigger scalers.

I live near that Lowe's, so I'll take a look...seems pretty out in the open though. I went to Sandstone Ranch (the baseball/BMX park east of town on 119) a few days ago and found some very nice rocks there.
