Holy crap! What an amazing day. That was the best, most fun, most scale course I have ever driven on. Great job guys! Lil Griz and I had a ball! My friend and his son popped their Adventure cherry at this event and absolutely loved every minute of it. They were very impressed with the course, the laid back atmosphere, and the friendly attitude of everyone. That Gauntlet at the end was EPIC!!!! I didn't want to finish it because I was having so much fun trying to drive it. So much fun and so scale based on stuff I've done in my 1:1. I just can't say it enough to express how much fun we had! Oh my! Is it time for the next one yet?!?!?! |

Griz I think we're going to make you the official spokesman for the Scale Adventure series Glad you guys had a great time and its always awesome to have more father/son teams come out to play. Someone mentioned a kids class and I'm thinking of a father/son, father/daughter class for the next event and season. Same rules, course and gates but zero pressure of running against the rest of the drivers Mark your calendars for the next Scale Adventure, Saturday October 25th. at the "Haunted Forest" Buffalo Creek check and start time will be announced a few weeks before depending on sunset times |

I'm just so excited to be having as much fun as I did in the old days. A team class comprised of kids and adults would be really neat. The kids were having a great time but it would be cool if they knew they actually had a chance at winning. Working on lights to get ready for Oct!!! Sent from my camo'd iPod in the goose blind | |

I vote for a team class as well. I don't have kids, but I think that would make things more competitive for them, and more fun. The real question though.... where's the video? |

| Re: Crawl Space Scale Adventure Series 2014 Now then forsaken souls! Mark the date Saturday, October 25th. It is once again time to venture into the haunted forest for the annual Crawl Space Halloween Scale Adventure! Your mission is to retrive the fruit of the Hangman's work and bring these not so recently departed souls back to the land of the living. Along the way there will be trinkets of fortune worth collecting in case you must barter your way out of a meeting with a troll. Make sure you're prepared for this extended journey into the unknown. -Minimum 10 scale points. -A tow strap is mandatory and can be used to self recover your truck or other drivers trucks. -Lights on your rig are not mandatory but highly recommended. -A winch is not mandatory, but highly recommended. -All scale recovery items/tools, must be attached to the vehicle and after their use, be placed back on the vehicle. This includes sand ramps, tow straps, and pull pals. -Real tools may be carried by the driver. -Class 3 trucks are allowed to use dig and/or 4 wheel steering on course without penalty. Drivers are allowed one headlamp, recommended, and one flashlight attached to their radio, also recommended. Pack tools, plenty of batteries, extra parts and water for your quest. Location : Buffalo Creek comp spot #1 https://goo.gl/maps/0shvv $15 per truck. 5:30pm sign-up, check in. Course opens at dusk 6:30-6:45pm. Course time limit: 3 hours. Trucks will be divided into the standard SORCCA Class specs, Class 1, 2 and 3. We will also run the new Driver/Mini Driver class. Driver/Mini Driver class is designed for parents and their children driving as a team. The course and standard rules apply with the addition that "team" must finish together at the same time and will be scored within their own class. Each driver must collect their own mission items to complete the course and be given a time score. Bonus items will tallied with the drivers time score for a final score. Please post up if you have any questions, comments or concerns. Last edited by The Crawl Space; 10-20-2014 at 10:01 AM. |

The Haunted Forest Scale Adventure is just a week away! Hope you have your rigs ready for a ghoulishly good time Some drivers have mentioned getting Halloween themed scale accessories for their trucks and we encourage it and they will be counted for the minimum 10 scale items |
