Speaking of which, I am gonna give parks/recreation a call, because I know aurora only has limitations on boats and planes in their parks, and I want to check about denver too.

Ok, I haven't gotten through to the person yet, but check out red rocks' website: http://www.redrocksonline.com/01_red...01_3_park.html It doesn't say anything about R/C vehicles (rules/regs are at the bottom). |

Remember that there is always Castlewood Canyon. We could play for hours without anyone noticing.

All I know is, the utah boys are coming out and need some where to stay. Having said that, we need to figure out somewhere quick so they can set something up. I haven't been able to get through, however, the phone number for the rules/regs guy of Denver parks is: 720-913-0725 His name is Ron Sanders. I don't want to leave a message and wait for him to call me, that will take too long. Anyone who wants to call is welcome to, just make sure to get back to us here. Make sure you make it clear these are Radio Control CARS, and to make sure he notes it in the rules as to regulations controlling them. If there aren't any, then find out from him how we can get that in writing to take with us up to red rocks. Last edited by Plays_with_Toys; 04-04-2005 at 01:26 PM. |

Utah boys (pinchy and kaetwo) are staying at a brothers house in Denver. But that don't mattah cause we need to decide anyway! Rocks works for me. Wannabe drives 100 miles everyday to work and back anyway! Think of it as a long commute slack ass. |

| I still want to crawl red rocks at a future point as well, hence I am harping on that still. Quite a few votes for Rock's, none really against except dirk's complaining

I'll go anywhere but prefer something closer to Denver as well. RedRocks was a great location, it'll be curious to see what Ron has to say.

PWT's I do work with the head of security at Red Rocks when I go in this afternoon, I'll see if he can get me an answer tonight. He should know this guy you're talking about. I did ask him to check for me before, but he never got back to me.

I vote Castlewood Canyon, or wait and hear what Bender has to say. The Ranger did say we were the 5th group of RC'ers he had seen crawling, so I thought it was a little odd that no one had heard about this rule before. Also, if someone is bored, see if Denver Parks has a rules listing on the web. But somehow I would think Red Rocks' rules would have priority over DPS. WHo knows!!!

Busted, way ahead of you mate. DPS doesn't have their rules listed on the web. I've spoken with the head of rules and regs, and he said he's looking it up for me right now. Since red rocks is under DPS, they follow DPS rules and regs. So far he said the only thing he knows of is a noise ban on RC vehicles, and that they can't be in the air. Since ours are electric, the noise shouldn't be an issue. In any case, he's going to get back to me on the official rules, and if there isn't any rules against cars, I am going to have him send me an email with written word by him to that effect. Then I can send it to bender to take to the head of security or something to get it all checked over and such. Oh, and the DPS site sucks ass. One of the hardest sites to navigate I've been on. |
