Ok then make the turns wide enough, or give 1 or 2 reverses. Your talking about making a class for newbie ppl with lesser rigs but them to do the same things as the "pros" with expensive rigs.....?

Thus the reason I said OR,... "allow dig OR make wide turns"

No he's not talking about making them run the same courses.

The rules are pretty much already written for the sportsmans class, basically a 2.2 pro rig, take away dig, only allow 2 channels, only allow a single motor.

Patrick is not asking for input on the rules, the USRCCA made those, he is simply asking if anyone in Colorado is interested in running this class.

So we have to remove our dig and buy a 2 channel radio now? Can we just not use it or unplug the dig servo?

Why don't you just run in the 2.2 pro class?

Because I have been crawling for less than 6 months and only had dig for 2 months. How can a basic axial with dig compete with MOAs and $2,000 rigs? I won't even place in the top 20's or 30's.

I might as well bring my 18R.

That's the way I started out. I think most do. They more you practice and go to comps the better you do. There are several guys running ax10's that do very well. Sparky J always places high and he is running axial with dig. I have a 2k rig and place somewhere the middle, so it's not all about the rig... Most the fun of the comps is hanging out with some of the coolest guys around.

Really I was thinking about something like that... But it drove over the rock you hide under.

Its not the amount of money people have in their rigs its the ability to drive.

The courses will start in the same spot, but will be entirely different. The sportsman courses will be much easier.

If your lucky

You have an option, take your dig off, or compete in the 2.2 pro

Maybe I will compete then, we will see what happens and what they do with classes, how many ppl, etc. Thanks for the advice and being polite and helping a newb instead of talking shit like these other shmucks.

All you have to do is unplug your dig servo, you don't have to buy a new radio.

Or he could leave it plugged in, that way he still has the resistance of the servo to keep it in 4wd. JUst use the honor system and not use the dig. If he does, he is dq'd on that course and get a 50. Any judge can tell if they use the dig or not, pretty obvious. Hardest part is remembering not to use it

Sorry we don't have an honor system, he is not allowed to have it.
We don't need to have the worry of a judge watching to see if someone who should not have dig is using it.

Exactly, I don't have the ability to compete in the pro either.

The judge is watching the rig currently running anyway, plus there are spectators. You don't need an honor system because it is so obvious when you use dig. All you "pro" guys should know that.

The servo is needed to keep it in 4wd. I will remember not to use it because I'm not used to having it, I still reverse most of the time when I'm out crawling. Thanks for the input!

Honestly it is not that hard of thing to figure out.

Ty and Patrick need to know if you are going to run the pro class or the sportsmans class.

Pro is the normal 2.2 rules.

Sportsmans adds, only single motor, only 2 channels can be plugged into the rx, and no dig.

That is it, no need to whine and cry.

Sorry by the rules you can only have 2 servos plugged into your rx, you'll need to unplug your dig servo. You can always use a zip tie to keep the dig engaged.
