NCVRCC at Bald Rock on 01/02/2010

We are going to tackle Bald Rock again to start off the new year the right way! So after you wake up from that New Years hangover grab your crawler and come on up to "Do Work" with NCVRCC! January 2nd 2010 8:00 am.......BE THERE!

For those of you that haven't been to Bald Rock you'll need to bring your hiking boots and more than likely a heavy coat. There may be some snow on the ground

When you get to Oroville on Hwy 70 you get off on Oro Dam Blvd and head east. When you get to Olive Hwy (hwy 162) you'll turn right and stay on it all the way around Lake Oroville.....its a bit of a drive till you reach Bald Rock Rd....turn right and follow the road for 5 mi. There is a State park sign on the left and it looks like a driveway leading down to the parking area. Once parked you follow the trail up onto Bald Rock. We will have signs to lead you to the comp site.

Times:
Tech begins.....@ 8:00am (at the top of the hill) USRCCA rules apply
Drivers meeting @ 8:30am (we'll go over stuff)
Courses open....@ end of drivers meeting. (time to work)

Entry Fee:
Non-members $10, RECON or NCVRCC memebers $5, Series members $0, timers/judges $0

Classes:
2.2 and 1.9

USRCCA rules apply:
Open running order.
No 20 point rule.
10 gate, 6 minute courses.
-2 progress points.
Repairs handled on the course, on the clock.
Touch, Out of bounds, Repairs, all go back to last gate cleared.
Ties will be broken based on time remaining.
Lunch break at 12:00 all courses shut down for 30 min.
Judges will have a sandwich bar, chips and water/soda provided.

Alert!......if weather is poor or the road is impassable do to snow we will move the comp to the Oroville Fish Hatchery. It's not AS good as Bald Rock but its close. This will be determined the day before the comp so stay tuned for more info.

As ABADK9420 stated there are other comps out there charging similar rates to compete, its not new. It is a way to keep the club in the black as well as a means to try and keep the comps to a managable size. SO I GUESS YOU ARE STILL IN THE RED OR YOU DO NOT WONT TO PROMOTE THE SPORT BUT MAKE MONEY ON THE SPORT.
