| Bradenville PA trials comp august 6th, points and what you placed listed
Hey guys every winter and summer RCMT.net/R/C Avenue holds a Monster Jam event at R/C Avenue Raceway in Bradenville PA. On saturday we race clod busters, emaxx, pedes, clod-o-pedes, shaft driven trucks, replica trucks, etc. On Sunday we hold a trials event which this year will now consist of: ***Trials Competition*** There will be *4* classes at this event. There will be: 1. 2WD 2. **NEW** 4WD (2.2 tire trucks) ex. Bruiser, TLT etc.... 3. 4WD (Clod size tire trucks) 4. 4WD Extreme I will most likely be sponsoring the 2.2 class, as I protested for it, I will be doing a give away of 2.2 MOABs to the winner. The event is always a blast and they set up a really cool course, and the rules are pretty similiar to the ones here. You can contact me for more info on the event and classes or post up here, I am hoping that we can get a good group of guys to come. The tracks phone # info and directions is: contact Dan 1-724-396-7628 here is some nearby hotels incase you need to stay over Overnight accommodations: --Super 8 Located near Greensburg, PA. on RT 30 Phone # (724) 838-8080 --Super 8 Rt. 22 Delmont Phone # (724) 468-4888 --Holiday Inn Express RT. 30 Greensburg Phone # (724) 838-7070 --Holiday Inn RT. 22 Delmont Phone # (724) 468-1050 --Comfort Inn Rt. 30 Greensburg Phone # (724) 832-2600 --Comfort Inn Rt. 22 Blairsville Phone # (724) 459-7100 or 1-800-770-0000 They allow camping at the track at no extra charge so if you have camping gear (tent, camper, RV, etc....bring it and stay for free!) here are some photos from previous events, durring the summer we do it out side and durring the winter we set up indoors So if you are into racing at all come for saturdays event, and for crawling sunday is the day to be there. The rules are pretty much like everyone elses. Your going for the best time through the course. You start off with a perfect score and you loose points as you make errors (touching truck, flipping truck, hitting markers etc) BUT you can also make some points too in some areas. The course is different every year which I think makes it more fun. Unfortunately there really isnt anytime to practice as they set it up sunday right after the drags, makes it interesting though. You have to make sure you choose the right lines the 1st time Chris one of the guys drives from phili to it, he says its not far (maybe an hour?) It is a HIKE for me, typically about 7-8 hours but its ALWAYS worth it. Hope to see you guys there You can always PM me for more info too! Mike | |
