Well good luck to you guys, the weather doesn't seem to be wanting to cooperate. They said rain through to friday, saturday looks clear. I just hope you all have your trucks waterproofed.

I wouldn't worry about the weather.
Although, if a big thunderstorm passes over, we'll just lower the radio antennas and keep on crawling!!!!

Kaetwo and I are getting ready to head out to "Crawlorado". We will see you all there.

You know we drive right buy Moab on our way... we may just have to stop and play on the slickrock.

AND.... I'm thinking that in the fall the UTRCRC and the "CORCRC" should have a combined competition in Moab....huh, huh????

The comp went well. the bad weather scared many away and we only had about 6 trucks. Pinchflat and Kaetwo were brave enough to drive all the way from Utah to attend!!! There was much carnage...........for Ace!!!haha I was the worst performer of the bunch!!!!!!

Pinchflat won it all and received first place honors with a $50 gift cert. to Proline. The courses were very tough and proved that the clods could abuse the shafty trucks in their sleep. THere were many photos taken and tons of video shot. Pinchflat and Kaetwo are making a CD that you'll be able to get from them after it's edited. Pics will be up shortly I'm sure......mostly of my embarrassing moments!!!!! Thanks to all for coming out!

Lots of fun. Even though I got my ass kicked by the track and competition!

The sad truth: The clods kicked ass. Lots of momentum climbs. Steep climbs. I think El Capitan needs to stretch it's legs (wheelbase)

Seemed like every 10 feet my truck broke. Hasn't broken a thing for about 30 hours of crawling before. Go figure.

Track was insane, but lots of fun. Thanks again Pete!

El Capitan tackling a climb. There were about 8 climbs like this that required lots of momentum, driving skill, torque, and a GD clod to climb! Notice the zip-tied servo mount. Notice the fixed tie-rod notice the two new rod-ends

Matts Powerwagon clod sliding down the chute:

The sad, recorded truth. This was just one section. Scoring was kept simple, 1 point for repositioning and touching a marker and 5 points for failure to go thru a gate. DNF (i.e. my truck usually) meant worst score+1

It was great to meet Brett and Matt from Utah, great guys! If you plan to go to one of the Utah meets, best bring your A game cause these guys can crawl!

One more. the Duke making the ditch look pretty easy:

Yes, indeedy! I was by far the worst! :(

Not to make excuses but I broke my rear steering the day before while trying out the courses. If the Digler has no rear steer, it's worthless! It's too long and the tires are too large to allow it to be nimble. All in all though.....I just plain sucked yesterday!!!!! It was still fun to laugh at myself...as did everyone else! :?

As for the clods winning the day. Well....that was only one day and one course. The shafties will live to see another day.

The fact that 90% of the guys over here have converted to Clods after failing to be competitive with shafties says something he he.

Here are the official results of the Pro-Line Colorado Rock Crawling Competition:

Pinchflat (Clod axle): 41
Grizzly4x4 (Clod axle): 43
Kaetwo (Clod axle): 46
Ace (Custom axle): 82
DirkDigler (X-Factor axle): 83

Congratulations to Pinchflat for the win and taking home the Proline gift certificates.
Second place received a donated Magnetic Mayhem motor, but I passed it to Kaetwo since he made a longer drive than me to get there

The competition was great; it was great to meet the Utah crew and see their awesome trucks and getting together with Ace and Dirk is always a blast. I hope some more people can make it to the next one, it should be a blast as well.
Thanks to Dirk for setting it up, to Pro-Line for the prizes, and to Pinchflat and Kaetwo for braving the weather and making the long drive.

I will get my pictures posted real soon here.

I can't believe you let the guys from Utah walk away with 2 of the top 3 spots

Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one, although at this point in time I don't even have a truck that runs...

Looks like a blast. Hopefully when BD is done the TXT can show clods how it is done....

Well I will be there for one in August, got me some well needed tools to fic up the TXT. Just gotta get links and a servo mount and all the fab work will be done to the Almost Stock TXT.

Add a body and some new treads and she will be down and ready for comps...
