I would agree. I like the rules as it applies to the actual crawler but as far as points go, as a newbie if I came out and kept having to pick up my rig and move it gate to gate I don't know if I would be out next time. It just would loose it's fun, at least to me. That point system seems a little too elitest to me, one of the things that brought me out and got me to build some rigs was the laid back atmosphere at the comps. That point scale I think would loose some of the fun. that's just my stupid .02 from a newbie, for what it's worth.

Look at how many people would've pointed out and not got to drive the whole stage. I think this would be very discouraging to new drivers. Just like at Moab last year the comment was "we want people to drive, not carry their trucks over the course". I know alot of us sure did alot more carrying than driving.

Brian, usually we have 5 to 6 gates plus the finish gate.
Rob, After 40 points are racked up you are done with that course and on to the next competitor.

It seams as if we can change all the rules over except the max points per stage. I also agree that pointing out is not fun so we can leave our current rules in place concerning that. Also, that rule won't really effect a drivers performance when he goes to a big event like the nationals.

I completly agree with the national rules but don't agree with the points system, how would we get new people to join up ,anyway i plan on building my 2.2 to Nat rules just to keep with the game even though i'm not that good .
