Hey everyone, the event and season scores are up . You can see them here:

Event Scores:
http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/events/Bean20Jan08.htm

Series Scores:
http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/events/fallwinterseries.htm

I have pictures uploading as we speak (give it a little bit to allow them to upload). 248 to be exact. If you want the full resolution of any of them, just let me know which one and I can upload it specifically. They are HUGE files, so please be nice and not request all of them.

Those photos can be seen on Nor-Cal here:

I can't believe that is what you think of Sam and Dean, I've often thought the same thing.

They were a little over the 121/2" length rule and We've had no "Edge Chassis" yet

I did see an edge chassis as I was measuring all the rigs. I had a 13" ruler and did my best to eyeball the lines to the wheel nuts. Nobody was off by more than a 1/4" and if that it was only one side.

We let them run and Sam marked down what I told him. Hopefully next comp we will have a flatter surface to lay them on and I can be much more accurate. Its just impossible to get a table down to the comp location, even if we did theres no level terrain to set it on

I think a couple of the out-of-spec were short boddies, long wheelbase, etc.

BTW, there was one edge chassis there, it had the eyeball in it.

I don't know if digital calipers are needed. We use a wheelbase jig at the Nats and that works great and is very is to use.

Maybe Dean or someone can make one? Or I can ask if Bastard can make me one.

Lance made one but somehow we lost it. I'll make one as soon as I get over this cold. Sunday didn't help as I am feeling worse than ever. :-(

Here are a few pics from the trail ride after the comp. Badger, can you hook a Chino up so I can post pics on the Nor-Cal site?

In that picture I'm only running a 6 cell cause my 3 7 cell packs died. And that is in first gear as well, I didn't have the 2 speed linkage hooked up yet.

By far the most fun rig I have built. I'll have my on board camera on it next time.

I hate to sound like a tard, but why try to eyeball the nuts? (hehehehe) Why not just measure from the front edge of one wheel to the front edge of the other wheel? It should be the same length as the nut to nut method... unless the nuts are off center somehow.

What if you ran 2 different size tires
nut.......to.........nut
121/2" wheel base
Wheel............to..............Wheel
4"................................6"
longer wheel base

I didnt say measure tire to tire, I said wheel to wheel. It doesnt matter what size tire you run, the rim to rim length will be the same as the wheel nut to wheel nut lenght. And as you HAVE to run 2.2 wheels everyone is running the same size wheel. The center of the wheel (nut) will ALWAYS be the same distance from the edge of a 2.2 inch wheel... unless thtre nuts are off center i the wheel, then you have a whole new set of problems.

::EDIT::
Unless someone makes a 2.2 inch wheel with a radius that isn't 1.1 inches the distance from the edge to the center of the nut will always be the same.

Because the measurement can be off if someone is running toe in or toe out. Wheel nut to wheel nut is the most accurate way to measure the WB.
