Default hobbico servos

I searched this site but did not find much on hobbico servos.
Are they a good servo ?
I was looking at different high torque servos on the net and came accros the hobbico CS-170 digtial ultra torque servo. Here are the specs
SPECS: Speed: at 4.8V = .19 sec @ 6V = .15 sec
Torque: 4.8V = 250 oz-in (18 kg/cm)
6V = 333 oz-in (23.97 kg-cm)
Length: 1.59" (40.6mm)
Width: .79" (20.3mm)
Height: 1.5" (38.1mm)
Weight: 2.18oz (61.8g)
Lead Length: 10" (254mm)

It looks like it would be comparable to the Hitec 5955 the torque specs are the same and it only cost $90.00

Yea,you won't see anyone talking about them. They are good for racing trucks but in the crawler world they don't cut it.

I know of at least one guy in our club who bought one of these for his 2.2 and fried it after a couple of weeks.

X2 on that. I bought a couple for the same reason, money. I'm just getting my rig's wiring set and they don't seem to be puting out the power they should. Don't take that as if their any good or not, I'm still making my evaulation on them. I might need to do some creative wiring to get their full potential. Read my thread in this section.

Servo's don't seem to be getting the power they need?

X2 on that... that's all it is... rebadged my friends.... To the best of my knowledge any way.
I run one in the front of my 2.2 and LOVE it... my trucks front tires never get in a bind.. it'll move the whole truck over b4 it stalls out! I have been BEATING on mine for almost 2 months and no probs. Try it you'll love the power..... but like anything makin that much power either setup your steering so it can't throw farther then the knuckles can or set your epa. That's how your gonna burn it out.... trying to turn further then the knuckle can physically turn... That's hard on stuff.

I've been running the CS-170 for about 2 months now, too. I love it. I haven't had any problems with it.
