| Tekin FXR who carries them
Hello, I have been looking everywhere for one of these systems and they are nowhere to be found. I just thought maybe somebody knows a place that has them in stock. I just bought my first crawler and I am really hurtin to run it and I really don't want to go with a Novak. Thanks

Stormer Hobbies. Has both FX-R and FX-R Pro. Get the combo when and if it's available. https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...s&pn=TEKTT2102 https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...s&pn=TEKTT1091 https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...s&pn=TEKTT1093 Last edited by JEracing; 07-13-2008 at 07:20 AM. |

Yeah amain is sold out of the combo too. I might just order separately, Do you need to run a capacitor?. As far as the esc are concerned is the pro that much better for the price? it seems to have the same functions but a bigger case.

For crawler applications, the Pro isn't worth the extra $$$ IMO

| I would steer clear of the pro also.. I really don't see the performance really being that much better in this application. As for the capacitors, those are mainly used to help isolate glitching problems if you are not running a 2.4ghz tx.

| I had a conversation with Ty at Tekin regarding the capacitor and he states that you DO NEED to use the cap regardless of application unless you want to see what happens when a FET pops. BTW the cap really doesn't have anything to do with radio glitching. It is to help keep the ESC running cooler by bridging the on/off current draws. The caps you solder onto the motor help reduce EMF noise that could cause glitching especially in an AM radio.

| http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...0&cat=0&page=1 I have run mine with 9.9V packs and it wasn't break a sweat. I would just buy the Tekin Crawler combo. The Tekin 55T motor seemed a bit smoother than others I have tested. |

| I believe he is saying Yes to my comment that, for crawler applications with a 35 or greater turn motor, an FXR Pro is not worth the extra $$. If you were running a lower turn motor, the Pro would make sense.

The amp draw is very low with a 55T motor but if you jam a wheel the amps go up fast when the motor stops and the power is on. I'm using an 8 cell at present (9.6V) but will be going to a 3C Lipo (11.1V) so I will be pushing the ESC a bit. After speaking to Ty I decided to go with the Pro. | |
