Default Li-poly power on TLT?

Any of you guys been running Li-Polys on your small stuff? I have been having great success with a Thunder Power 1900mah 2 cell. It fits perfect in the stock Rockbuster battery tray and weighs next to nothing. With a 27t armature in a mod can with no timing I get about 25-30 minutes of run time.

I ran on a 3s 1320 Thunder power this weekend. Worked very well. went back to 7.2v Ni-Mh today and the truck just feels flat now. may have to contiue running the 3s. run times with a lathe motor are well over an hour.

What charger are you using for your Li-Po's, and what is your average charge time and rate?

I use a Hobbico Accucycle Elite charger. Charge rate I use is 1.5 amps. Charge time is about 110 minutes per pack. Typically you can charge at 1c but a plane guy at the hobby shop I work at said if you charge below 1c you'll get more run time and a cooler running pack. Word to the wise- If you use a Super Brain 969 to charge Li-poly you need to use a Kokam charge protector between the charger and the battery. I've seen that charger blow up a couple of packs at the airfield near me.

Here are those charge protectors
Use this one for a 2 cell

Use this one for a 3 cell

use this one for a 4 cell

These things plug in line between your charger and pack and prevent the pack from being over charged. They're only 12 bucks and worth the protection. Thunder Power and a few other li-poly manufacturers don't recommend the Super Brain but these will protect your packs. Chargers that I have used and recommend are any of the accucylces that do li-po, the Triton, the Ice, and the FMA chargers for li-poly.

I use a Multiplex LN-5014. Haven't been able to charge my Lipo yet though. Robot Combat has yet to ship to ship out my battery. I takes about 20-30mins to charge a stock AE 18T 7.2V battery.
