Default 3 chnl radios

I'm looking for some input on 3 chnl radios. I'm looking for good radio choices that are going to have a 3 position switch for the 3rd chnl. Something I will be able to use for dig. I already know about the DX3r, but would like to know about others out there. I've looked at most of the brand name web sites and none of them tell you wiether or not they have a 3 position 3rd chnl switch, just that they are 3 chnl.

Please help an idiot out?

Many people use a DX3 it's a cheaper alternative to a DX3R.

If it's a pistol grip radio you're looking for, look no further than the DX3R. The money spent is long forgotten. It's the best radio I have ever owned and many agree.

Futaba 3PK or 4PK and you will have all the tuning options you need. The DX3R is a good radio but it won't do but 60% of what the Futaba will. I have both. The Futaba is hands down the better radio. See this thread. 4PK Setups, Tips, Tricks and Help

is the dx3s a 3 position 3 channel radio?

I'm another idiot with the same problem. Mine is for a Losi Comp Crawler with the dig/transmission unit. (Center = 4wd up = fwd rear = rwd)

Nomadio React DDM has them for 269.00 and free shipping

2.4 Ghz, 4 channels, 40 model memory, onboard readout of tx and rx batt, CPU compatitble (can be used for computer gaming), already has programming for rear steering built in as well as multi mixing of channels.
full adjustability on all channels, Trim, Sub Trim, Expo, EPA on both ends, Servo Speed curve, Digital or Analog servo mixing is OK, dual rates.

full readout of all settings on the lcd or via the Desktop Software.

In my Honest opinion, you wont find a more capible, compatible and easy to use radio, especially for crawling. you can also save 5% off your order (with free shipping as well) if you enter the correct discount code.

Older Futaba 3PDF. http://cgi.ebay.com/FUTABA-MAGNUM-3P...3A1%7C294%3A50 Cheap, 75mhz FM, 3 or 4 model memory I think, 3rd channel can be a momentary, 2, 3, or 4 position, and adjustable endpoints on all channels.

Biggest thing is they can be had for 30-40 bucks. Great inexpensive radio. Not alot of extras, but will do whatever you need on the 3rd channel.
Now there are better radios out there, I run a Multiplex 403 with 7 channels in a pistol grip style, and I also run a Futaba 3PK but if you need just the basics.........................

The DX3S is only a 2 position. I would recommend the DX3R. The DX3 is an older model and then you have to mod it for the 3 position toggle. Might as well spend the money and have one of the most versatile remotes on the market. Wish I bought the DX3R maybe I will get one for the holidays.
