I love torque for a crawler but that thing is way to fast for a crawler in my opion.

Sometimes torque is really good on a crawler, however there are other times when wheel speed is the what will get you over that ledge. The HH 7t is THE motor that allows both worlds in 1 rig.

you've never driven one have you?

the BEST low speed accuracy and control on the market, but when you want them to, they will come alive like no other. and if you don't think crawlers need wheelspeed than you aren't crawling hard enough.

I put one in my giant size Traxxas Summit and could hold balanced wheelies like a unicycle. Its is by far the best brushed motor out there. If i could fit them in my MOA rig i would run them in their also.

my buddy has one, and it is awesome. and as far as it being too fast, if you don't pull the throttle all the way back it wont go full speed, or you could dial it out in your radio. wheel speed is a good thing when you don't have to sacrifice low end torque, and that is what makes this motor so special. exceptional low end control and driveability, complemented by being able to throttle out of or over something if the need be

I've had 4, and they truly are amazing. They have more torque than anything else I've ever driven, they're smoother and more accurate than anything else I've ever driven, and you get all the wheelspeed you'll ever need. The 7t may be a little fast, but the 10t is the holy grail, I can't imagine running anything else in my super.

If you notice the rock racer in that vid is running a 2speed as far as the top speed being too fast. What you get with a standard crawler transmission is the best low end control, absolute best brake, and completely scary wheelspeed when you call on it. Anyone who has ever tried one will swear by them being the best motors on the market. If you ever get one, you will wonder why the price is not 2x as much as it is, and you will also say you would gladly pay it for such a perfect motor.

How are the 7t's run times compared with an average 45-55t motor?

When I installed the 7T in my ax-10 (replaced my 45T Banzai), my run time only dropped by about 5-10 minutes (down to ~40min)....

Setup is Sidewinder, External BEC, 1500mAh 3S, and the HH7T.

From running a 45t Integy on 8cell 1500mah split packs, I only lost about 10 minutes run time. It's not really noticable, and it's more than well worth it.

As long as I can still get a bit over 30 min to a pack, I'm good.

Looks like I might have to add the 7t to my wish list...

Yup, I get a good 45 minutes of hard running on just the 2/3a 1500 mah packs. It's an excellent choice, you will realize it if you pick one up.

I would recommend a 3 cell LIPO-My sons has a 7T puller and he killed the saddle pack. My lasted about 10 runs then died. He got about 40 runs with his 7T and I got about 50. The motor is so fun. Matt

What batterys are you running in the Summit?

I heard John Holmes was running TWO 5T pullers in his BERG. Matt
