| winch help needed!!!!!!!
i have a xp3d radio and xp 3 ch receiver, i have the y cable from the battery to the esc and the winch, winch is plugged into the 3rd channel of the receiver, winch is plugged into the little mother board thing, i have been playing around with it, watched the 3 racing how to and looked around, when it comes to the electronics i am the worst, am i using the wrong controller? if it helps i have a rc18t 7.2 volt 6 cell 1100mah battery pack. is there a switch on my radio i need to press?? i dont have a manuel to the radio or the winch cause im not the first person to own them, what am i doing wrong? thanks ahead of time |

i found a manual to the radio, found out about the 3rd channel, i have it all setup the way i want it but its till not working, i put a servo in pos. 3 for a tester but still wont work? come on help me out. |

Sounds like you need to set the 3rd ch up on your TX.

If you have a 3rd channel you can use ,you need a setup like this using a servo,I turned it into a controller for the winch and can be operated from the 3rd(or any spare channel)on the radio.very easy to use,no big 3 way harness or worriying about extra batteries,pm me if you want more info. |

You can just use the circuit board out of an old servo like this guy did: homemade pico switch Then you can coat the board with liquid electrical tape, silicon or plasti dip. That's the way I did mine, takes up less room and works like a charm. |
