| what radio to get??
Hey guys help me out , what radio should I get ? I just picked up a XTM X crawler and I'm in need of a radio , for sure it has to be a 2.4 setup but I also don't want to spend a fortune. I would like something that will give me all the options I'm seeing in the video section 4WS, Crabwalk etc. thanks |

I'd say a Spektrum DX6 or 7. They have a lot of great functions. Many times you can find them new on Ebay without Rx or servos for a fairly low price. I got a new DX7 for $160 on Ebay last year.

RC4WD sells two different 2.4ghz raidios. Big offroader and The crawler radio (Directly from your radio you can do crab walk, two wheel steering and all wheel steering). I own the big offroader and it works great! Best buy ever! http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/index.ph...8db5834c64322a Last edited by grimgard; 08-12-2009 at 01:34 PM. |

If you can live with sticks, the Spektrum DX6i is an excellent radio. If you want a budget 6ch stick radio, the Turborix (A.K.A HobbyKing and FlySky) is excellent value. It'll do everythink that the Spektrum does, for 1/4 the price. It doesn't have a display, so you need to connect it to a PC to program it. You can buy them direct from Hong Kong for less than $40. Makes a good base for a pistol conversion as well. |

Quick Question: With the RC4WD crawler radio does it offer a brake drag option and also does it have a built in failsafe?
