I turn on remote, hold esc reset button down turn on battery...right? Then when red light comes on you release and full trottle till goes solid green then full reserve till it blinks green and the neutral. then is will go solid red telling you it has been set properly....right

My problem is when i turn battery power on and am holding reset button done, red light comes on i release.....i continue to do full trottle but I could do full trottle for like 5mins and it will not change to solid green....?????

wtf!

im jason,
can you run it the way it is now? if you can and can't get it figured out by the comp tomorrow you can borrow my extra motor and see if that helps your drag brake issue.

nope! I ran it for a day with all the new shit(but with little or no drag break). I went to reset it 20mins ago and now I have nothing....no steering, no dig, no forwards/backwards....red light just stays on the rooster??

When you hooked up your BEC did you unplug the red power wire from the ESC? Also check and make sure you have the ESC plugged into the RX the right way(Pos+Pos, Neg+Neg, Sig+Sig.) But again, your red wire from the ESC should be unplugged!!!! Are you running a Li-Po? Is it charged all the way?

i dunno if this applys to the rooster but i run the Havok and mine did the same thing and i called them about it and if it a older ESC you may need to send it back to them for a software update, thats what they told me, i sent it to them and got it back and havent had any problem out of it, the best thing is they covered shiping and didnt charge me a dime, so it was free

the BECs is a homemade one from a guy up here in canada. Works Awesome! and is not the problem cause it wrked fine hour ago. It was a plug and play kit.

The wire to the rooster crawler were backwards...so at least now it moves and drives.

BUt still have no drag break?????

I got the rooster working now. the light goes from red to full green to binking green to full red......

but still I have no drag break? if i turn up the trottle trim it just wants to drive forwards....

would a hand wound motor screw things up like this?

oh and I went up to a 48P pinion 16T on the motor.

is it suppose to be full green green when going forwards and blinking green in reverse?

If not how do you reverse it? swap motor wires?

Glad I could help you get it fixed As for your other prob now it sounds like you need to adjust your endpoints and check to make sure your profile on the ESC is set right.
