| ESC problem?
I've had my LCC for about a month and I'm having stall problems that I can't figure out. It happens when I get one of the tires into a bit of a bind but nothing the rig should have any problem with. Everything just quits, sometimes it last for a few seconds and things seem to reset and othertimes I need to shut everything down and bring it back up again. I'm thinking it might be the ESC (Castle Sidewinder)...any thoughts?

"ESC's are nothing more than electronically controlled resistors...and they're far less complex than you've been lead to believe". It should be pretty easy for you to figure out. |

Well, based on your attitude in the "Funnel" post I'd say you deserve the previous comments..... As for your issue, you need an external BEC. It allows constant voltage to your servo and receiver so the ESC won't bog down while trying to do too much at once. Get the Castle Creations 10 amp version, it's more than adequate for a crawler. If you already have a BEC installed (the internal ones in ESCs are crap) then I don't know..... |

You should switch over to a mechanical speed control they are the shizzy. But in all seriousness sounds like you need to install a bec as you are getting voltage spikes and shutting down your receiver. But im sure you already know this with your mass knowledge of electronics

My lnc was doing about the same thing My rear axle needed to be torn down and regreased. It has a few bushings in it , if they arnt lubed will cause friction and ur crawler will bind on hills and not move.
