| Extending sensor wiring?
I know this sounds like a basic question but can I extend my sensor wiring without any issues? I have the mamba micro X and it has a weird plug on it so I can't use a longer sensor wire.

Did you get the MMX sensor wire adapter? Its like 2" long and that plugs into the esc then you use whatever regular sensor wire you like.

No the only sensor wire I got was the one that comes with the ESC. Is that 2 inch one an extra part to buy or should it have come with the ESC? Edit: I looked on Holmes site and didn't find a wire like you're talking about. Either I missed it or I misunderstood what I'm looking for. Last edited by redneckracerx; 04-05-2016 at 03:18 PM. |

Castle Creations | Mamba X Sensor Harness Pic: Castle Creations X Series Sensor Harness Edit: black plug goes into esc (which has a dust cover from factory on esc) and white plug is what your regular sensor wire plugs into. The plug I provide for free is different, you will need the castle adapter plus another sensor wire. Assuming we sold you the mmx. How long do you need? We are going to make a longer version of our custom adapter, but I haven't decided length. |

Yes, John, I got the MMX from you and the adapter is greatly appreciated! I don't understand why they're not using the standard plug? I never would have thought to see if I needed another/different wire. The sensor wire that comes with the stubby pro puller (also purchased from you) is about 1" short so in my case this adapter will work. I don't have pictures right now but setup is a scx10 with the esc located over the rear axle in a project box. The trans is mirrored. Back to the original question, had that been my only option. Would solder joints to make the wires longer effect the sensor wiring? Such as excessive resistance or other issues? |

Solder joints wouldn't affect the signal enough to matter. Castle's depart from the standard plug allows easy and secure waterproofing. I applaud it, and have considered changing the motor side plug as well for the better reliability of a slightly larger plug. |
