| Sensored BL.. extending sensor cable?
So I've got a novak ss pro 17.5, probably about all the good thats come from the N guys. Its got fixed timing as well as a fixed sensor cable (never understood why the cable..). What are the downsides to chopping and extending? This is purely for cosmetic/location purposes. Either way its going to happen, just curious on the theoretical downsides. If the results are less than desired then new plans are in order. Until then... thanks for any info |

It's soldered directly to the board? It doesn't have a connector at the motor? If so, I can't see any downsides....as long as you solder the extended harness correctly. |

Nope has no port at the endbell, the ballistic motors do though. SS pro and ballistic are apparently the same besides the fixed timing and lack of sensor port on the ss pro. Timing I can understand for spec racing, the sensor port part is baffling. The plan is to chop at the connector and solder a chopped spare sensor cable to it. Thanks Jeremy |

Nothing wrong with cutting/extending. here is another option if you really didn't want to cut/extend. http://www.shopatron.com/products/pr...56.49204.0.0.0 |

Hey thanks for that, didn't realize one was made. Although I'd rather chop/solder than have another plug in connection I don't need wriggling around. But still good to know its not frowned upon

If wire flexibility is of any concern, look into TQ Racing wire harnesses. I see they don't have an extension, but you just said another connection is not what you want, so there ya go. Most are on the second page, but they start at 50mm long on the first page: Search Results |

There's no sensor port on the motor, a fixed sensor cable comes out the endbell. Otherwise those look nice, may have to pick up a couple for the other rig and pro4 motor. That motor was manufactured correctly |
