Cheapbatterypacks.com cant be beat for great crawler batteries. Also to date Chris is the only battery supplier/manufacturer to put up real world honest data on their batterys. The elite cells have shown they can outperform the claimed c numbers of the big$$ packs. There is a reason they can never keep them in stock..... we buy them up as soon as we can. And what makes a lipo waterproof? Aren't they all basically waterproof?

I used to buy from Hobby King for soft packs and LHS for hard packs, but now I get them all from Value Hobby. They come with deans, never had a puffer or a dead cell. Close in price to Hobby King but they are US so no 30 days shipping. Cheap, fast delivery and great packs.

In my 1.9 comp rig, I run a 2S 325mah 64C pack. In my 2.2 comp rig, I run a 3S 1300 45C pack. They are a bit bigger (mah) than I need, but can do 2 courses if I damage/kill/puff a pack at a comp. I have 1 pack/comp course. As to the "low voltage alarm" a lot depends on your ESC. All my ESC's can be set for the expected pack voltage/LiPO cell count so they shut down when the pack gets low. That only happens when I'm practicing at home. BTW, your "People laugh because I'm diferent , I smile because there all the same " should be corrected to: "People laugh because I'm different , I smile because they're all the same." Just helping out. | |

Just helping out.[/QUOTE] Thanks Charlie It's corrected . ( too many beers ) I'm running a brushed 540 27t motor, Mtroniks Viper ECO 20 ESC with 7.4volt 6800mAh Ni-Mh battery, for now... But I'm ordering some 7.4volt 2c 1800mAh Li-Po's from Hobbyking in the week, that's why I asked about the Li-Po low Voltage alarm.. Sean. . |

Tried pretty much every LiPo i know of, from the extortionately priced maxamps down to some cheapo no brand Chinese jobbies. Now i ONLY buy Turnigy Nano-tech cells. They power everything from my ERevo to my little MRC and theyare by a long shot the best cells i've come across. By that i don't mean for the price, i mean they are the best no matter what the price. You really can't go wrong with Turnigy Nano-techs. As for where i buy them, 99% of the time i buy from Hobbyking. Takes an absolute age for them to get here (seems the only boats from China are slow boats), BUT they have great prices I just order around 1 month before i need them and i've always had them before that time. To be fair to HK they usually ship within a few days, so the problem is the Hong Kong post office more than the seller. As for size. To be honest they're THAT cheap i bought 1 of each size, tried which ones give me the best compromise of run time, fitting and weight then ordered 3 more of that size. I do have a fair few RC craft though so can use any size in something. Cheers Mark |

I've been getting mine from maxamps.com. Expensive yes, but great service and made-to-order packs. Cell matched, initial and pre-ship voltage checked, balance checked, and water sealed. 100C rating on the 1300mah 3s pack I ordered for my XR10! But I'm gonna have to try this Hobbyking.com outfit, prices look great! What kind of balancing taps come on the Turnigy packs?? |
