Is your motor in need of a rebuild? Worn brushes can kill drag brake.

Did you try to set it back up, settings may have drifted and while the lights come up correctly, it still isn't quite right.
I never ran a Punk Dig, I ran a servo dig on my 2.2 Bully MOA before going to a WantAmix.

When you say "it won't lock the rear", does that mean that it is still applying power to the rear, making the rear turn under power, or that the rear has power removed and the rear motor is coasting?

Either way, it sounds like the relay contacts for the relay that controls power to the rear motor have failed. It might be as simple as cracked solder joints to pins around the relay or maybe the relay needs replacing or... maybe something else - hard to tell from way over here, but those are some things you can check.

If you want an alternative to the Punk, I make a couple of different versions of dig controller that you can try:
MOA Dig Controller for Three Position Channel

MOA Dig Controller for Two Position Channel

Hope you work things out,
Al

Unsolder the punk from your motors and dunk it in a cup of rubbing alcohol.
One of the switches is probably stuck. Mine did the same thing.

just had the same issue with mine. all wheel drive works fine (green light). i can here the relay click in for the front dig (red light) but when i switch to rear dig (blue light) there is no relay click.

probably did it to myself. the case on one of the relays broke off and i superglued it back in place. i'm curious if any glue bled down into the relay. not the smartest move on my part!

going to give the alcohol dip a try. any recommendation on how long it should be in the bath?

you must have got some glue in the relay, maybe worth removing the plastic case and trying again, nothing to loose now,you maybe able to see something with the case off ,not sure whats inside..

as much as i want to break it open and see what's inside i might just leave it as is. i'm planning on another moa project (bully axles) so my son can have a basher. might be worth keeping as is so it has at least front dig. definitely won't be able to use on my comp rig!
