Got to agree with everybody I have been running deans on my sc and crawler for 2 years now and I am super happy. There is a learning curve to get them soldered correctly, but once you figure that out its great. My Uncle and cuz run micro deans on there mini-t and it's just as good!

The only time I've seen Deans plugs fail is in a high draw RC boat but that's dumping 5000 mAh through them in 5-7 minutes. The same boat also melts the solder out of 6mm bullet connectors and bends the solder joint when hard wired. This is such an extreme situation though, you'll never have a problem with Deans on a crawler or most RC applications. I'm still running Deans on some stuff but slowly switching to XT60 plugs just because they're easier to solder and unplug in my opinion. |
