I just got off the phone with tekin and they shipped me out a new one, They said that it was not receiving power, not sure why . They said something must have happen when it tried to read the hot link and it just went out , nothing we did wrong it just happened. Again this unit was 1 month out of warrantee and they did send me a new one no charge. 1 feather in their cap. Thanks |

Thats great to hear, sounds like Tekin has some great customer service. I have two of their FXR's and a couple of motors, and it sounds like if I ever need support they are there for their customers. |

I am having the same issue with my rear FXR in an MOA. My setup is as follows. Dual FXR sharing one set of power leads. BEC wired to Power leads feeding the RX RX is a Futaba R2104GF There is no issue with the receiver as I have tried the front ESC in both channel 2 and 4 which works fine. I have also tried the rear ESC in both 2 and 4 and only ever get the dim lights. I have not run any software updates recently. Unfortunately I bought mine second hand. Does any one know if this can be fixed? Or is it just a matter of replacing the ESC? Last edited by Highlucks; 02-14-2012 at 09:19 PM. |

the dim lights means it has to be recalibrated ....i have one of the fxr's in my mantis that goes in and out like that ....it looses radio contact LED INDICATOR (S) ERROR DESCRIPTION All LEDs Flashing No Radio Signal, check radio system LEDs 1,2,3 Flashing Radio signal found but lower than ex-pected, See Radio Calibration Section LEDs 5,6,7 Flashing Radio signal found but higher than expected, See Radio Calibration Section LEDs 1,3,5 Flashing Voltage Cutoff set below battery voltage or in hi-temperature thermal shutdown LEDs ramp up then down ESC is in Pit Tune Mode LED 4 on briefly, then flashes to one or more other LEDs Normal operation, see Temperature Monitor Section. Thanks, I have tried to recalibrate it a heap of times and can not get it to go into Calibration mode. I will have a play around with it on the PC via the hotlink to see if that will breath new life into it.

Hey Camo, Is the FXR decased? Remove the heatshrink and check it again. Remember the problem I had with one of the FXR's in Vegas....it was the decased one with the cables re-routed. Dan removed the heatshrink and straightened out the wiring and worked fine... Likely a short or crimped wire for that one.... Worth a try anyway. Cheers, Mike. |

Thanks Mike, I ran the hotlink update and that did nothing. SO I went with your suggestion and found the culprit. The receiver wires were shirting at the circuit board. A little dab of CA rubberised glue to keep them separate and she will be good as gold.

Not quite there yet. I am still having some dramas. all seems to be working when things are not taped or heat shrunk together, but one every thing is placed onto the skid. it all just seems to go a stray again. The other issue I am now facing is when testing. Is when I throttle and release the rear motor will stop straight away but the front will continue to turn for nearly a full second after release. I gave up last night at 12:40am so I will have another play tonight
