chenglish to english is hard enough to convert, i can just imagine how to try and explain dual esc mixing. They'd F it up no matter. None of their radios to date have had perfect firmware, there at least 1 issue with all of them which i think is why they're so popular to hack (yes their stick radios are hacked too)

PSX, the guy who coded the current gt3b software, has english as a second language i think, anyways i can't tell you how many emails back and forth me and him have and the hours i put in to make sure we have mixing that works properly and lots of options to control it...most of the key mapping options is directly related to the dual esc mixing development. Lets just say the key mapping menu would be very limited if i didn't get involved .

I'm working with someone else right now to keep improving the firmware (psx is for the most part done i think...) and i'm also talking to someone else about getting a pc interface developed as well.

Well, time is the factor.

From my sources, we won't see the gt3c till summer. Then it'll take me probably a month or so to get hacks figured out. So mid to late summer till it'll be 5ch ready IF it can be hacked.

Also, come late summer early fall i'll be closing up overkillrc for a month or two till i figure out how my schedule will work in with college and such. Not only my schedule, but where as well. The school i'm trying to get into requires living in the dorms first year (unless living with family) and right now i'm using about half of a 10 x 14' room. And thats packing stuff into every nook and cranny in my desk and shelves i can. So...i'm still trying to figure that stuff out. So product availability will be tight around that time.

I'd suggest, buy now and upgrade later. A.) because then your not waiting for ever for the new version, and B.) I can save up more money to get gt3c and/or gt4 development done quicker and/or better. Once the gt3c and gt4 are out i'm going to try and develop a universal programmer which will also have a pc interface, possibly a mobile interface. But this will cost around 5k to get the programmers made/assembled (the first batch)

Ok...i lied a smidge. It's sounds like i'll have 10 gt3c's early May as a sample/prototype order (I bugged them alot ), but price will be 75ish stock i think, i haven't been given any definite price as production won't start till feburary. If anyone is interested in pre-ordering without the guarantee of firmware hack email me (losikid@overkillrc.com) as i'd like to get abit bigger order.

I'm pretty confident that the gt3c is identical to the gt3b as far as schematics (other than the voltage regulator). From what pictures tell me, so i THINK the gt3b programmer is compatible and firmware may just need afew little modifications if anything.

Still no news on the gt4, its really just an idea right now from what i'm told, a cad model.

1-I believe LosiKid has them enroute to him.
2-I believe they're pretty much a GT3B but with color.
3-They are already working on firmware updates to unlock more options.
4-Did you read any of the links, or, are you "just asking"??

Doh.....my bad. I was doing a quick post before working on my rig.

I believe there is a thread about the GT4 here, don't have time to search though.

1.) haven't ordered yet, still waiting to see what interest there is. I wanted to order 50-100 but i may just eat any profit i was hoping for with the pre-order and order 10.

2.) Everything has changed at least a little , other than the core functions

3.) Firmware already is out there, i'm just working on hack kits at the moment, they are almost complete. The current issue is i wasn't paying attention to the the fact that the port has round holes and the plugs i ordered have square rods. So now i have to order some different plugs

I found a video from a model show in China that is showing this FS-GT4 radio. Might be a prototype in the demo but has touch screen and totally new user interface from the older model.

Here's the video, looks pretty cool.

That's pretty interesting, but I'm thinking that will definitely be out of the regular FlySky price range we're used to. I'm wondering if they are upping the features/quality to compete with the more well known brands?
