FUGLY but the pivoting wheel is interesting and the fact it has a colored touchscreen is awesome. Im not positive but that top menu looks alot like the android pull down menu. it wouldn't surprise me if this new radio is android based. If we can get root and unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery this radio will be an awesome. |

I doubt its android, it probably is just a Chinese wannabe copy... custom firmware probably would be possible.

it would be much cheaper and easier for them to integrate/modify an existing OS & screen to suit the radios needs. they can make use of all the android development but are not tied to any rules as far as adding any web stuff or the android market.

| Re: Real PICS of new flysky products true, I just based prices of existing hardware. they of course will use a screen that is readily available and therefore cheap, but the 9X goes for about $80ish now so above 100 isnt unheard of. I really do hope its powered by android though. I bet that will bring lots of android devs and attention to this radio. though realistically if any radio was going to be powered by android first I would think a stick radio would come well before any pistol grip just because of the market. ahh well guess time will tell

| Re: Real PICS of new flysky products Well what has me interested is how flysky is getting 12 channels to transmit, as their current afhds 2.4 modules max out at 8 channels. So i'm wondering if they are developing a new 2.4 technology

Touch screen and I don't like the idea of hacking my self and OverkillRC is out of stock, I want it to work out of the box with the channels I need.

| Re: Real PICS of new flysky products iv tossed around the idea of hacking my gt3, now that i have a moa, im thinking about dig or dual esc's. it seems to me,from what iv read, that setting up and using the gt3b once hacked would make me pull my hair out. im not patient enough to learn a 100 different steps to get to one option or another. maybe im over thinking how complicated it would be to use. all i really want is a 3pos 3rd channel to run a winch on 2 scalers, and id be happy with running a punk dig on my xr10.i dont comp,so the need for 2 esc's isn't really there |
